Pre-conference essentials
Get our top tips for preparing for NDF25.
If you’re preparing for NDF25, here are our top tips (in no particular order!):
Bring your own coffee cup! Our baristas will be happy to use it.
Arriving on Sunday? Check out our mini-guide to Wellington for ideas on what to do and where to eat.
Finding the venue: Here’s a google maps link to Harbourside, our venue. You can learn more about Harbourside here.
Baggage drop: you’ll be able to leave your bags at the venue if you are coming straight from the airport.
Get there early on Monday morning: Registration starts at 8:00am, with the conference opening at 9am. Get in early, get comfy.
Barista coffee will be available at Harbourside: You’ll be able to register and get your first coffee of the day thanks to REANNZ.
But if you’re up even earlier, there are coffee spots nearby:
Coming from Courtney Place: Sixes and Sevens has good coffee and very delicious baked goods
Coming from Cuba Street: Swimsuit Coffee is guaranteed good brew
Coming from the Lambton area / Train station: French Kiss Cafe serves up Wellington’s Havana coffee, a darker roast
Note-taking: If it helps with your note-taking approach, be aware that we will be recording the sessions, and many presenter slides will be available later on.
Slide accessibility: If it’s easier for you to bring your own laptop to view slides during talks, we’ve asked presenters if they are happy to sharing their slides in advance. Email conference@ndf.org.nz.
“What sessions have I signed up for?” When you meet us for registration, you’ll be given a lanyard that shows the concurrent sessions you signed up for.
Accessing NDF LIVE on the day: Your lanyard will also have QR codes with links to this website and Sli.do, our Q&A web app.
NDF LIVE: What’s this?
Introducing our lean, keen, conference update machine: NDF LIVE.
With one week to go, we’re happy to share our conference website: our lean, keen, conference update machine. This will be your go to spot for everything NDF25. You can see:

This website is designed for you, the person attending the conference! It’s currently v1, so there’ll be a few more improvements before the conference kicks off next week.
It’s best viewed on mobile, though works perfectly well on a desktop. When you arrive at conference, you’ll also have a QR code linking to this website on your lanyard.
If you’ve got questions or requests about the website, feel to email us at conference@ndf.org.nz
We’re looking forward to next week!
